Next application phase!

Written by - 05.06.2020 - kl. 13.36

NSE faculty have now conducted all interviews with candidates for NSE. If you have applied and been interviewed you should look for an answer by the end of June to see if you are one of the lucky few who can call themselves students here. Remember to check your spam filter!

In other news, we have finally started opening NSE, and a limited number of students are allowed back to finish their master’s theses or work on their start-ups. We are keeping our safe distances and following governmental and NTNU regulations and guidelines, we hope you do the same.

We are soon closing in on summer and want to wish you great vacation time. If you have applied for NSE you should definitely charge your batteries so you are ready for the fall semester. We can’t wait to meet our new students!

Did you catch Costail at Praktisk Info?

Written by - 13.02.2020 - kl. 14.03

TV-show “Praktisk Info med Jon Almaas” had a very special guest in Cosgear CEO Vilde Bergan a couple of weeks ago. She showed off the costail, an autonomous tail for cosplayers.

Vilde, together with classmate Vetle Øien went to NSE and graduated last summer. Now they are the CEO and CMO of their own start-up. Together with their team with some of the best technologists NTNU have to offer they founded their company Cosgear. This year they launched the costail and are now aiming for world domination within costail gear segment.

The tail itself is a product of research done on human-machine interaction at NTNU at the Institue for Technical Cybernetics. Cooperation between research and entrepreneurship is important for the society. The costail shows us that one can never know what to expect research results at institutions like NTNU.

The video has been seen more than 250.000 times, see the segment below!

We have moved!

Written by - 04.02.2020 - kl. 09.50

Over the Christmas break, the NTNU School of Entrepreneurship moved to a new location at Campus Gløshaugen. Going from Gamle Fysikk to the building known as Oppredningen is a giant leap for NTNU who can now gather the innovation ecosystem to create more synergies.

On January 31st we were visited by faculty and administration at NTNU and Engage Centre to have an official opening. This lead to lots of speeches, food, and mingling in Solanstua, our very own living room. This is where our students usually gather for events, meals or just to be social.

Together with the student organizations FRAM, Spark*, Start and Designhjelpen, NSE will be joined with NTNUs brand new Innovation Hub run by Prorectors staff for Innovation. The people behind the  Experts in Teams courses will also be joining from June on the third floor.

We want to thank the University and all the people involved who have worked to create our new offices as well as the work they have put into the building itself. We would also like to thank the people who have worked with us at Gamle Fysikk over the years who have provided us with so much.

Written by - 03.02.2020 - kl. 11.59

January 9th the School of Entrepreneurship invited former and current students to hold inspiring talks for their classmates in what we like to call “Entrepreneurship Day”. The day is officially the start for the year 4 students who have been on their Christmas holiday, but of course; everyone was invited! Subjects like how to test ideas, financing, and common myths were covered.
A big thanks to DNB and Engage who made the day possible.

Check it out in the video below.

Ntention showcased at TV2

Written by - 05.11.2019 - kl. 13.07

Co-founders and Co-CEOs of Ntention, Moina Tamuly, NTNU student, and Magnus Arveng, NSE student, were featured on Norwegian national television yesterday.

For 3 years they have worked on a glove that can control drones. The guys behind the project were about to give up this summer, but their persistence and patience was rewarded when they were approached by NASA.

Their glove might be going to the moon in 2024 and their hard work over the years has been rewarded with national attention and interest. Check out their 10 minutes of fame here (in Norwegian).

Magnus is a student at NSE.

We want to congratulate Magnus, Moina and their team for their work so far and wish them luck with this and other projects in the future!
