Dirtybit was founded in 2011 by the two students Erlend Haugsdal and Nicolaj Broby Petersen, based on the idea to create mobile games that worked seamlessly on multiple platforms. The game Fun Run enables people to race together online in real-time, and with Fun Run they established a new market for multiplayer games in the mobile space. By June 2014 more than 40 million people have downloaded Fun Run and Dirtybit has established itself as one of Norway’s most promising mobile start-ups. Fun Run was released in September 2012 and reached #1 in the US Apple App Store in December 2012. Their newest game Dino Dash was launched in June 2014. Dirtybit consists of nine employees headquartered in Bergen, Norway. There are two NSE alumnus in Dirtybit: Aurora Klæboe Berg (2013) and Nicolaj Broby Petersen (2014).
